14 weeks!!!

Holy cow! I cannot believe how fast time is going by. In the first trimester, all I wanted was to be in the second trimester so I could relax a bit, but now that I'm almost 15 weeks, I am even more nervous about how quickly things are going. We went to the doc today for a normal check up and got to hear the babe's heartbeat and talked to the doc about a few things. Our next appointment is our BIG ultrasound and it is scheduled for January 12th!! I can't believe that in four short weeks we will know what is in there!


Onto the the fun stuff....

















Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body for warmth.


* How far along?: 14w3d
* How big is baby?: A lemon...almost 4 inches
* Maternity clothes?: No but I had to buy what I like to call "Big Girl Pants". Not maternity but a few sizes bigger.
* Stretch marks?: None yet, thank goodness.
* Sleep?: Not as tired as I was, but cleaning and shopping all day really wears me out.
* Best moment this week?: Another good strong heartbeat! Making that BIG ultrasound appt.
* Food cravings?: I finally caved and had that Publix sub!!! Bad, I know, but oh so good!
* Labor signs?: No!
* Belly button in or out?: Way in.
* What I miss: Coke, Grouper Sandwiches and my old shorts/pants
* What I'm looking forward to: The BIG ultrasound in four weeks!!!
* Milestone: I'm in the second trimester!! Woot Woot!!
