Holy Toledo, where has the time gone? June seems like such a lifetime ago, but it still feels like just a few weeks have gone by since we have brought Liam home from the hospital. A lot of things have been going on the past month with Liam...these are just a few things I want to remember.
Liam....
Liam....
- You are flipping onto your stomach every chance you get but still not crawling.
- You "climb" up on us when we hold you.
- You love when we help you stand up. You bounce up and down and laugh.
- Eating two solid meals per day. So far green beans are the only food you despise. We'll keep working on this though. You have had and enjoy the following; sweet potatoes, bananas, avocado (you will only eat when mixed with banana), peas, carrots, pears, peaches, chicken, apples, lean ground beef, steak, acorn squash (with apples).
- You are a squealer and you make all kinds of noises. Currently you enjoy making raspberry noises with your mouth. No words yet but I am determined that "Mama" will come first. We practice this a million times a day.
- You are fascinated by other children and watch them wherever we go.
- You are finally in your crib, in your room!!! Sleeping?....
- You are not sleeping very well anymore. We rock you in your room and lay you down and usually you are awake within the hour. This continues several times a night unless you decide to pull a fast one and sleep the unusual 11 hours, which is even harder on us because then we think you might be sleeping like this more often....not so.
- You have two bottom teeth and we think you are getting your upper front teeth very soon. You are acting cuh-razy.
- You love your jumperoo (see previous post) and you are getting really good at jumping. We put you in there several times a day to burn off some of your energy.
- You love Maya but she still is unsure about her feelings for you. You did get a sweet kiss in passing the other day that melted our hearts.
- You love bath time and you have finally moved into your own bathroom. You are in the inflatable duck tub for now.
- You finally enjoy taking walks in your stroller and you could stay in there for hours.
- You love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the music...when we sing it, you start laughing.
- You wear size 3 diapers and your clothes vary by store. You wear anything from 6-12 months, 9 months or 12 months clothing. This is annoying since I never know what size to buy.
- At your six month appointment you weighed 18 lbs. 10 oz. and you were 28" long.
There are many more things I could list about you since we are attached to one another all day and now all night too. The months keep flying by and you keep growing like a weed. It's hard to believe in just a five short months you will be a one year old little boy. I hope you know how much you are loved and how happy you make your daddy and me. All we ask is that you please sleep at night. Thank you. Love, Mama
